About Belvedere
Belvedere is a town located in the London Borough of Bexley and is part of the ceremonial county of Greater London and the historic county of Kent. The town is also located near the River Thames (in the South), the Abbey Wood and Thamesmead (in the East), Erith (in the West) and Bexleyheath (in the North). It has a population of 11 890 and is consisted of 65% White British and 12% Black African.
Upper Belvedere is one of the town’s landmarks, because it has a church, many villas in Victorian and Edwardian style, big variety of retail outlets, restaurants and pubs. The so called “Splash Park” is also located there and it was opened in 2005, but it is out of action today because of a threat of removal.
Lower Belvedere is a smaller and industrial area of the town and is surrounded by a high technology sludge, a small industrial park, methane incinerator and is very close to the railway station.
